BackCipla’s Q4 net profit little changed at Rs260 crore
Total income for the quarter increased from Rs2,611 crore to Rs3,154 crore

Mumbai: Mumbai-based Cipla Ltd posted a consolidated net profit of ₹ 260 crore for the quarter ended 31 March, against ₹ 261 crore for the same period last year. Total income for the quarter increased from ₹ 2,611 crore to ₹ 3,154 crore.
The group posted a net profit of ₹ 1,181 crore for the year ended 31 March, against ₹ 1,388 crore in fiscal year 2014. Total income increased from ₹ 10,439 crore in the year ended 31 March 2014 to ₹ 11,511 crore in fiscal 2015.
Domestic sales in the March quarter grew 21% to ₹ 1,086 crore, from ₹ 900 crore in the year-ago period, on account of increased sales in respiratory, anti-infective, cardiac and gastro-intestinal categories, stated a press release.
Exports of formulations increased 30% to ₹ 1,690 crore during the March quarter.
On Friday, shares of Cipla went up 1.10%, to close at ₹ 650.45 apiece on BSE, while the benchmark Sensex gained 1.17% to 27,828.44 points.
